I have a branch office DC that is not replicating with the other DCs in the
domain.

I have tried the "Procedures for Troubleshooting Access Denied Replication
Errors", purging the ticket cache, etc. but when I try to reset the computer
account, I receive the following error: "The machine account password...
could not be reset. The parameter is incorrect".

I am still receiving NTDS 1311 errors and clients can only login via another
DC (an off-site one), which causes problems when the VPN link goes down!

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I can do? I am at a
loss!

Rob,

I might simply try a ping test. Sitting at one end of the VPN can you ping
a computer on the other end. I am sure that you have tried this already but
I know that I can get a bit flustered when things stop working!

Hi, Carey.

No, there's no problem with network connectivity. In fact, I mostly work on
the branch DC with a Remote Desktop Connection. This I think was the
original cause of the problem (I had to reduce the MTU setting on the ADSL
connection), but I can't now get it to work. I have 3 other branches with
DCs that are working fine.

Rob.
