I am looking for a way to setup Active Directort on new
server which will replace the existing windows NT4.0
server. This server also will host SQL 7.0 and Exchange
2003. If i install on separate network, how can i setup
with the same DNS name of the old server?

thanks in advance?

The easiest way to do this is to install the new server as a Windows NT4.0
BDC in the existing Windows NT4.0 domain, let the BDC synchronize with the
Windows NT4.0 PDC, promote the BDC to PDC then install Windows 2000 Server.
This will keep all your security principals and upgrade the current
domain information into the new Windows 2000 domain.
