Hi,

Question.. I enabled schema updates on the DC, and updated schema correctly.
Doe the schema modification need to remain active or it can be disabled now?

Thanks

Nich

Hey Nich,

If you are asking if you can disable the option to allow modifications to
the schema the answer is yes (as long as you are done making modifications).
The option to enable schema updates only has to be enabled when you are
actually making the changes.

Hi Mike,

I enabled the allow schema updates in order to install SMS 2003, which is
now online.

Thanks

If you have modified the schema in order to install SMS, the changes to the
schema must remain in place. You may not disable them.

Hey David :)

Very true - the changes must stay in place, but I don't think that was what
Nich was asking about. I believe Nitch was referring to the setting that
enabled/disables the ability to make modifications to the schema.

(just trying to clarify that point so no one gets confused)

Yep that was my point, sorry did not explain myself well ;)
Once the changes have been made I don't want the option to remain enabled,
as a precaution...

Thanks again all

Thanks for clearning that up...kinda got freaked out there for a second as I
am testing SMS2003 out right now...don't plan on extending the schema until
i get the full product.
