Hello All,
Thought that I would pose this question to you to see what you think.
We are currently testing disaster recovery proceedures and are trying to
restore AD to a server that is in a test network. The problem that we are
running into is that the server hardware is different from what we backed up
from. Getting the server to the point of restoring is not the problem. The
problem is when we restore the system state. After installing system state,
we reboot and get an "Inaccessable Boot Device" BSOD. The RAID controllers
are different but not by much and we are using the same manufacturer for all
hardware. Is there something that we can disable in System State restore
that would keep the server from getting the error? Also, we are using
Veritas Backup Exec and have not had any luck finding answers on their site.
TIA,
Chad Williamson
