Morning, can anyone help please...
We run a Windows 2000 AD domain and I noticed recently that the replication
between the 2 domain controllers had stopped (I added a new server into the
domain and when looking in AD users and computers remotely it didn't show,
so on checking through a term serv connection, it was on one DC's AD U&C but
not the other)
I went to Sites and Services and tried to force a replication and both of
the AD connectors told me that access was denied and the operation couldn't
complete...
I tried to recreate the AD connectors but that didn't work so I thought I
would try to run dcpromo on one server, demote it the re-run it to recreate
the AD on that machine and hopefully restore the AD replication... However,
it would not let me remove the AD installation as it says Access Denied,
even when I log in as a user in the enterprise admin group...
Does anyone know what could be causing this issue? It was working last
week, I have not installed any additional software or updates on either
server that could cause the AD replication failure
Thanks in advance for any advice
