I'm testing Exchange2003 on Windows 2000 AD domain built with Virtual
machine (VMWARE).
I have only one DC with DNS integrated zones enabled. Everything is fine
untill I install Exchange 2003 on a Windows 2003 server.
After the reboot of my DC I find error event ID 4001 on my DNS log: DNS was
unable to open the zone.
I've read KB 252695, but I can't test if it solves my problem (But
everything works without exchange!!!!!!!!).
I've sp4 installed on my DC, and I've hardened it. Mail server is exchange
2003 installed on windows 2003 without any post installation configuration.
Does anyone knows if exchange 2003 requires any particular user rights, or
security settings, or ntfs and registry permissions? I don't know what to
do.
I think i'll try DNS primary zone.
