AD in mixed mode

I have a 3 server network, one of which I have just
upgraded to W2K Server, the others remain NT4. I had
problems with a workstation running W2K Pro where it
wouldn't open Exchange folders (5.5 running on the
upgraded server). When I deleted the computer account
from AD, it seemed to clear the problem (this workstation
had its name changed and that seemed implicated in the
problem). However, I decided to delete the several other
computer names that flowed into AD through the upgrade.
Now those machines, all WXP Pro and W2K Pro, will not
validate to the domain. The WS message is "The system
cannot log you on to this domain because the system's
computer account is missing or the password on that
account is incorrect." The event viewer logs a 3723
error ID.
I have tried to use netdom to reset the secure channel
but that process returns the info I already have, that
the computer is not registered, so it can't re-establish
a secure channel. I have also added the computername to
the AD Computers, but that isn't working. BTW, if I log
onto the computer locally with a username password combo
that is valid on the domain, I then have access to all
the same resources (Exchange, shares, etc.) that I would
have if I logged on to the domain, I just can't log on to
the domain first as I normally would.
What should I try next?

Log on locally to that PC using local Admin account, disjoin it from the
domain and rejoin it to the domain. From your post I can't see if you
already tried that.
