Hi everyone,
Does anyone know what the implications of having an AD domain name
_without_ two levels of naming are?
The Active directory domain I've started working on is called
'companyname' (same as NETBIOS name). However, the other domains i've
worked on and literature I've read always have the AD domain name in
the form 'companyname.com' or 'companyname.local', etc... (NETBIOS name
would invariably be 'companyname' in these examples).
Does this affect the running of the domain in anyway?
BTW no resources on the internal namespace are available on the
internet.
Thanks
jet
