AD Disaster Recovry Problem

Hi,

I have a big problem with domain controller.
I have 2 DC (dc1 and dc2). dc1 is operation master.
Because the harddiskes failed(2 of 3 diskes in RAID 5), I
lost my RAID container. In another words, everything was
gone on dc1. The another doamin controller is still
working. I DO NOT have backup for dc1. I CANNOT restore
it. I have try to move FSMO rules from dc1 to dc2. I could
not change, because "The current operations master is
offlin. the role cannot be transferred."

How can I manually change this master roles? and remove
the domain controller dc1 from active directory?

You will need to use ntdsutil.exe to seize the FSMO roles and then also to
perform a metabase cleanup.
