AD Demotion

I've demoted two servers, uninstalled AD from each. Yet they still show up
in Site and Services, one with MSMQ and the other with nothing. I
uninstalled MSMQ from the server that had that service, and got an error
during uninstallation saying it couldn't contact AD to remove it and I'll
have to remove it myself manually. I'm going to rebuild these servers and
want to delete them from AD altogether, to do this should I take them out of
the domain? Will this remove them from AD including sites and services?
These are both Win2k servers, I now have two win2k3 servers that are AD
servers.

Can anyone point me to some articles related to deleting the server object
manually? I'm assuming it's more than just deleting it from sites and
services..

Thanks, however this wasn't an unsuccessful Domain Controller demotion. AD
uninstalled successfully.

like I said before... delete the server object manually....
the server object is the object right under the container called servers and
make sure the server object does not any other objects under it like the
NTDS Settings object

The problem is that it has the MSMQ object under it in Sites and Services.
Not sure how to get rid of that, I've uninstalled that service from the
server, but got that error saying it couldn't contact AD.
