Hi

Can some one please tell me how to control the list of
domain names that appears in network neighbourhood
(microsoft windows network) in Windows 2000?

We use a carrier based VPN for wan connectivity, and all
the domains of their clients show up in the list. Of
course, none of the domain names can be accessed or even
expanded but it is still confusing for our users.

I would like to restrict the list of domain names to just
mydomain.local but I can't find anything in the kb. I
know that AD replaces the browser service (Q188001) but
not much more than this.

Any ideas? We run W2KS & clients are W2KP/XP.

Thanks
Kit

That's the way the Browser server works. All or nothing.
