Ad-aware Update for LS 2007

What`s going on Randy? Get a grip ! You have an important assessment coming

For what it's worth, there appears to be a work-around, albeit a 'long
hand' one:

"I've just downloaded Ad-Aware SE1R211 02-01-2008 using the link
provided by <xxx>

http://download.lavasoft.com/public/defs.zip

....just unzip and drop it into the appropriate folder to replace the
existing older version. Enjoy."

(The information was posted on alt.comp.freeware - headed "[UpD] Spyware
& AdAware")

So, my "secret" is revealed.
This is how I've always gotten my updates.
I got my update this way after confirming that selfupdate did not work
yesterday and that was what put me on my little tirade. They are still
making updated defs for SE, they are just trying to block our access to them.
The fact that these defs worked perfectly fine in the free version confirmed
what I already knew.

I had hoped to Not have it so Publicly revealed however :P
I figured that the clever folks in this group would pick up my "hints" that
there were alternative methods to updating.
Now that it is revealed I sure some agent of LS in these groups will report
back to them and they will close this method down. So, I expect it will not
work in within a couple of weeks. If so, it will show them to be the Skank
that I think they are becoming.

Shame on you LS, shame on you
