Ad-aware & shutdown probs

After installing and running ad-aware my search companion
no longer worked and my shut-down doesn't work - keep
getting a window asking if I want to end program
rundll32.exe. How can I fix this? Do I need to
uninstall ad-aware?
 
Ad-aware by default places all items it removes into a
quarantine list (file), these items can be restored.Go
through this folder and see if you can reconize anything
that may be a system file and restore it.If you find them
add it to the ignore list in ad-aware so it will skip
these files when you run it again.

Two more things I forgot to mention

Do NOT uninstall ad-aware until this problem is corrected
this will also remove the files you want back perhaps
running sfc /scannow will restore them (not sure).
