Ad-Aware SE personal update

I cannot update Ad-Aware SE personal. I constantly get the message "error
retrieving update". I uninstalled and reinstalled the programme but the
problem still remains. The message now says that I am now 153 days out of
date but I still receive "error retrieving update" Any help would be
appreciated.

Are you using build 1.06r1 ?

If you are trying to update the definitions, download them "by
hand"
http://download.lavasoft.de.edgesuite.net/public/defs.zip

Then unzip over your existing DEFS.REF.
