AD automated tasks

The company I am working is concerned whether by automating some AD tasks
(Create/delete/disable user accounts, adding user account to groups etc)
would result in benefits or it would affect someway the Active Directory,
would someone have a technical answer for this, Thanks
 
Can you explain "automating some AD tasks"? How are you thinking of
automating it, via scripts, MIIS or....

well, i wronte some asp webbie taht creates users in certain ou's
depending on who created them. stops me having to add new starters,
though they have to have their account unlocked. But it saves me a good
few seconds per user ;)

no ill effects so far
 
I see a lot of installations where they publish an in-house developed
website for "helpdesk" in order to do the common tasks like pwd reset, new
user etc...
