2 new AD 2003 servers, both identical, both running dfs and frs. After 6-10
hours of running fine the second server (not primary server) just looses all
network connectivity. It can't see anything on the network and nothing can
see it. Of course, this causes all kinds of havoc with frs.
The event logs on each machine are clean except for what warnings and errors
related to the loss of the network conenctoin to the second server.
The security logs on each machine show 100s or even 1000s of succesful
logon/logoff (eventID 538, 54), privaledge use (eventID 576)and directory
service access (eventID 837, 836) events. Nobody is logging on during these
periods and in fact, there is nothing but an administrator logon to either
machine. These events occur in clusters of about 10-12 and happen within
about 1 second. Then they repeat every 4-6 minutes. Is this normal?
