AD 2000 and SQL

We are full AD with win2000 servers.

I had to rename a user in AD because she got married. When I go to the SQL
server, the name change did not carry over. (we do AD authentication not SQL)

So I tried to add the name to SQL server but it will not let me because it
thinks it doesn't exist. It does exist, it's just a different name. I assume
this is a AD problem and not a SQL problem.
Anyone ever run into this issue before?
Or should I post this is the SQL forum?
