How do I get actuarial symbols for use in presentations, such as "a double dot ange n. Also how do I get them so I can add actual problem type information.

Does Insert/Symbol not work for you?

Normally, you'd install a font that includes the special symbols you need then
either use the ALT+Number combo that represents the character you need or
Insert, Symbol
