I have an Exchange 2000 server with some public folders.
One of these folders is used for company contact info. I
have also a company task folder created and tried to link
it to the company contact folder under activities tab. Yet
when I create a task for a company contact, the task shows
up in my personal task folder. Any ideas what I'm doing
wrong?

TIA

How did you create the task?

I chose one of my company contacts and went to action,
then new task for contact. When I generate a task, it
saves it to my personal tasks instead of the company task
folder I created and thought I linked to.

That is expected behavior. If you want to save the item in a folder other than the default Tasks folder, use FIle | Move to Folder instead of the Save and Close button.

Alternatively, drag the task from the contacts folder to the company tasks folder to create a new task.

Any way to change how that default operates?
