Activities do not always show under a contact-i hyperlink files?

I use the Action create a new journal for contact and then through this
create a hyperlink to a word file. I also send emails. I have several
contact sub folders. The activities under a contact only sometimes show and
this is very frustrating. Is anyone else encountering this problem

I am using Outlook 2007 running on Windows Vista. All the outlook contacts
are in the default pst.

What about all the other items associated with the contact?

Also, did you import the journaled items? That will break the link.

Right click on each contacts folder, choose properties and verify the
folders that are to be searched on the Activities tab.

Sometimes the email sent and received are there, it really is an all or
nothing under activities for each contact. Some of the contacts I imported
and I realise I can loose the links if I move things around. It is like it
is not opening the database file. I have all types of activities to be
searched and have cleared these and reentered so as to make sure. I am doing
mail merges from the contacts. As the file is in Word I am linking it back
to each contact
