HELP SOMEONE!!!! I have been trying to access several
website pages that I have previously been able to go to
and view. Now, I get a content box that says because of
my security settings, ActiveX cannot run on these same
pages. I have tried several suggestions about resetting
my security settings to no avail. there are games that I
would like to play and an no longer access the website,
www.gamerival.com. Could someone please send me some
useful suggestions that might actually work.
Thanks,
Karen

The first thing to do is make sure you have an active
firewall as well as a good anti-virus program. Active X
controls are one of the easiest ways a person can access
and ruin your computer. With your IE browser open click
tools\internet options\security tab\then click internet to
highlight it and then click the custom level button and
look at how your active x settings are configured. While
low security is the setting I use as I don't worry about
active x violations with all the safety features I have it
may not be the best setting for most people. Try to set
the safety level to medium and under most of the active x
settings put a dot in "enable". If you are worried about
the "Unsigned" or " Unsafe" stuff then put a dot in the
prompt circle. This way at least you can enable the active
X controls on the sites you want when asked to do so. Keep
smiling.
