I recently had to do a system restore/recovery on my computer and I don't
want to mess anything up. I've read where it's risky to 'allow' activex
controls, that you can get viruses, but I've also read that it's OK. What's
everyone's opinion on this subject please? Thanx everyone

If a legitimate Web site asks to install an ActiveX control for a purpose
you approve (e.g. your computer manufacturer to check driver versions,
Microsoft Update, etc.) allow it. Otherwise, be wary. If you're not clear
on the purpose and legitimacy deny it.

Thank you so much. I never really understood the Activex thing before, you
explained it very well. Thanx so much, and I will definitely rate your
response as helpful!!!

You're welcome.
