When I try to access web pages with Active X Controls they will not open and
the Security Settings at the top pop in and say " Your security settings do
not allow Web sites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer. This
page may not display correctly. Click here for option" When you click here
for options the "Information Bar Help" comes up but no other options display
such as Allow ActiveX, etc. My security settings are all enabled for ActiveX
but the same problem occurs. What do I do to resolve this?

Hi,
Disable, as a test, third-party security, privacy, ad-blocking programs. One
of them may be causing this.

Turn on the windows Firewall (Control Panel> Windows Firewall) and disable
(as a test) your third-party firewall (if you're running one.)

Or, a recent security update for IE may have caused this.
See: ActiveX controls may not load as expected in Internet Explorer due to
defense in depth changes introduced in cumulative security update 896688
(MS05-052) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/909889
[From PA Bear]
Fix: http://patch-info.de/IE/Downloads/OLEfix.zip (OLEFix.reg) or
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/kb896688_fix.zip (KB896688_fix.exe; a small
VB app that checks the 4 values and offers a repair option if any of them
are incorrect)

Hope this helps,

I tried all of the fixes you suggested with no positive result. I am getting
with my system Administrator to see if possibly another Firewall is causing
my problem It is just odd that only "Information Bar Help" comes up and no
other options.

I am having the same problem as poolguy and have also tried all the solutions
listed without any resolution. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
