We are experiencing a problem with an ActiveX control that doesn't load for
our users who downloaded latest version of IE.
The controls have been working fine for over a year. Since, MS released it's
latest patch for IE that changes how objects are loaded, one control will not
load when accessed from outside the company.
I have changed the code to load objects using an external JS file. It works
for all other controls. When we tested internally, everything worked fine.
All controls loaded and worked fine.
When we rolled out to public, we received about 80 calls in 30 minutes. One
control will not load. We've instructed our users to install the "backwards
compatibility" patch which bought us some time. But, this patch expires in
June.
So, we have a control that used to work before MS latest IE patch. I made
necessary changes to load objects using external JS file. Now, this control
only works when accessed from within the company. Users outside the company
see a red X. The control doesn't load.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
