activex and applications

One of our departments purchased a program that fails because of the need for
activex control. The program that was purchased can only be viewed by
someone with admin status. Because we are a hospital we have an important
need to keep standard users at that level and not admin status. I've found
all the reg entries that would call the program and gave users control of
that but the program still won't run. The vendor sent me the MKB page where
is says to make the person using the software an admin, but that can't
happen. Does anyone know of another work around?

If the vendor won't code their program to properly run in a multi-user
operating system with correct permissions, return the program to the
vendor (and it would be worthwhile explaining why you are returning it)
and get a program that understands about not making standard users
admins.
