ActiveSync with Emulator

Is it possible to connect directly to the Pocket PC emulator through
Activesync?

This page indicates it's possible with ActiveSync 3.7

I installed activesync 3.7 and launched the emulator manually, but I'm not
sure how to connect.

How do I make a "partnership" between the desktop computer and the emulator?

I only have one Serial port, so I can't do that trick with the cables.
(not that I really want to anyway)

I saw the post about using the file explorer on the emulator, but this is
backwards!

I would much rather be able to map the emualtor as a drive in 'My Computer'.
