Does anyone know of any coding samples involving the use of Activesysnc to
transfer data stream or packets between a desktop computer and a Pocket pc?

Depends on which is the client, desktop or Pocket PC? or whether you want to
implement some kind of synchronization as per MS products under ActiveSync.

Hi Chris,

I was interested in the answer to Pdoc's query too. I have been using RAPI
for my communications in my Pocket PC app for a number of years. However, I
have been recently surprised to know that Pocket PC Phone Editions using WM5
block RAPI altogether, due to the new security mechanism.

I use RAPI for my MSI installation and had to completely re-write my custom
installer to use AppMgr so that my app could be installed. My RAPI mechanism
for copying down various files onto a Pocket PC during installation and then
remotely starting the CAB installer now cannot be used on WM5 devices,
particularly the Pocket PC Phone Edition.

I need to address another issue I have in passing files at various times
between the device and PC (and vice versa) during normal operation of my app
on the device, and that is why this query interested me.

Is there another way of passing files between a Pocket PC Phone Edition and
a PC without using RAPI especially when RAPI is blocked by these Pocket PC
Phone Editions using WM5?
