I have a small app that sends and receives both UDP and TCP traffic.
All works fine in the emulator but when running on a real Pocket PC
2002 device, using only the ActiveSync connection, only the TCP
traffic gets through. The remote endpoints are the same for each
except for the protocol. There are no errors; my program thinks all
is OK but no UDP!
Stranger still, if I fire up the WiFi connection in the device, all
traffic comes through as expected. This ActiveSync behavior seems
very strange. I was planning to have a batch-only mode, using only
the ActiveSync network connection to periodically upload transactions
from non-RF terminals, but I may have to rethink my plan. BTW, I'm
running ActiveSync 3.7. What do you think?
