Like everybody else, that downloaded the security update, 912812, I had click
to activate controls on certain websites. At first I just thought the problem
was something I had done to my computer and continueing to download updates
would remedy the problem. But they haven't. So, I tried downloading the
patches that are supposed to fix the problem but all that happens is that I
get and error message that says:" The verson of Internet Explorer you have
installed does not match the update you are trying to install."
Does anyone have some advice on this problem. I've downloaded IE7 and the
boxes are still there. And when I tried to remove the update, it showed me a
list of programs that Windows wasn't sure would run if I deleted it. I've
tried everything I can think of to fix the problem and nothing has worked,
any help is appreciated.

This will only happen with sites that have not been modified to work
around this issue. Complain to the site. And send a Thank You card to
Eolas and the US Patent Office.
