active x controls

I cannot log into any secure sites. Was trying to
install service pack 1 for xp but keep getting warning
sayint it cannot be downloaded because you current
security settings prohibit running Active x controls on
this page. Please help.
 
Hi,

Explain which secure site you are referring to. Some sites have active x
controls without which it can't run and to do so if the site you are
accessing requires you to download an active x.

Add the secured site to trusted site zone. To do so open internet explorer
-> tools -> internet options -> Security tab -> trusted site -> Sites and
add the link to the list.
