I have a database which I have designed and used on numerous occasions.
Recently I wanted to go in and make a change in the switchboard. When I click
on the switchboard manager I get:

Active X component can't create object.

I have looked up the error message online and I get info on Office 2000 SR1.
I am using Office 2003.

Please help. I need to be able to do this as I design databases. Thank you
for any assistance.

Just a comment. For Access 2000, 2002 and 2003, it will be dao360.dll that
needs to be reregistered, not dao350.dll

Does this mean that I should go ahead and download RegSvr32.Exe? (I ask this
because everything was working fine – it isn’t like something didn’t get
properly registered in the beginning.)

If so, I guess I do the same thing as in the instructions only use

RegSvr32 C:\progra~1\common~1\micros~1\dao\dao360.dll as the Command from
the Run menu.

Can you let me know if this sounds like the right route to take?

Thanks for all your help.

You may already have regsvr32.exe Look in your Windows\System32 folder.

While registering the file may not solve the problem, it certainly can't
hurt.

Thank you so much. I used the part about Running the code from the Start/Run
menu with the file mentioned by Douglas Steele and it solved my problem
completely. I am grateful for your help.

Thank you so much. I checked and did have the regsvr32.2xe file already. I
ran the code from the Start/Run menu with the .dll file you suggested and my
problem is completely solved. I will sleep well tonight:)

Thank you again.
