IE, Tools menu, "Manage Add-ons". Delete controls you can't 'enable', and go
back to the site that needs them to get another copy.

Tools menu, "Delete Browser History" will let you 'Delete Files" to clear
corrupt files from the Internet files.

hi
i should have said i iam scanning with norton windoctor and one button check
up and the results show an active x
"c:windows\system32\macromed\flash\flash9bocx" i am a novice and dont know
what this means also it shows tempory file problems that you cannot clean out
with your suggested method as i have tried ,thanks anyway any other tips
anyone?
cheers
sam

Norton is likely allways going to find activex entries
Run disk cleanup to clear your temp files.
Or from Start>Run> %temp% and delete the resulting files (any files in use
cannot be deleted)
I stopped using Norton many years ago, I've since come to no harm :)
