Active Synch - contacts not synching

I have a new Tilt, run OL 2003 and installed Active Snych. My calendar
transfered fine, but not any my contacts. I did have one error message, that
either outlook is not my default (I checked, it is) or is something along the
line of not answering (I can't recall the exact wording.) Can anyone help?
 
Try posting this in microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync. It has nothing to
do with Outlook as Outlook is the passive repository for your data and takes
no active part in syncing.

For those that look here, even though not an outlook problem, here is what
has helped me and many others.
Go to ActiveSync tools, and uncheck Contacts. It will say it will delete
contacts on device, but go ahead, you may not have much to loose at this
point. Sync, and then check it back and sync again.
