when i start my windows 2000 domain computer, it takes 5
minutes after installing active directory services.

The system is P-IV 1.8,128 MB RAM, INTEL ORIGINAL BOARD.

This computer is stand alone and is not connected to
switch or hub.

In event viewer under directory services heading i getting
the message : " unable to establish connection with global
catalogue.

I have similar server with same lower hardware
configuration but it still boots faster then this computer.

Kindly help me resolve this problem.

thanks

Devang,

Just a suggestion: try plugging in a network cable to the
NIC in the Server and then plug that network cable into a
Hub or Switch. Your problems will probably go bye-bye!

You can also install the loopback adapter if you don't have a hub available.
