At my office we have two different AD domains , I want to completely remove
one of them and just leave the other one up and running. After I move all
the users's in the new domain I plan to do that. How easy or tough is it.
Has anyone tried completely removing an AD domain from their forest.

Any suggestions will be welcome.Thisgs I should keep in mind? How do you
actually remove a domain? Do u DC PROMO both the domain controllers one by
one and it will be gone ?

Hello,

Typically, when the last domain controller for a domain is demoted, the
administrator selects the "This server is the last domain controller in the
domain" option in the DCPromo tool, which removes the domain meta-data from
Active Directory.
