Active Directory to SIP...

Hi

Despite the subject my problem is Windows Messenger related... We use
for internal communication Windows Messenger with Exchange 2000 Server.
Unfortunately not all employees use Windows and we don't know any linux
messenger that is able to communicate with Exchange 2000. But because
Windows Messenger is able to speak SIP we have been thining of using a
SIP server... Do not have all account data to manage twice we are
looking for a SIP server that is able to take account information from
Active directory.

Does anybody know such SIP Server, or has a better idea at all?

Actually the new Microsoft Office Live Communications Server utilizes SIP and integrates with
your Active Directory. However, I'm unsure as the exact issues regarding its actual SIP
support (with the various authentication methods) and using a third-party *nix based client:
