If you restored the system by overwriting with your tap restore, and
getting
a HAL error, then the best bet in your case is to re-run Windows setup
with
a repair option. This way it will save your current settings but it will
re-discover your hardware. If needed, be sure to have available any 3rd
party drivers available and hit F6 when prompted early on in the setup to
supply those drivers.

If the above fails for you, you can always install AD/Exchange on a
