Ok, I'm confused, we have 3 domain controllers right now, and they all have
dns on them.
One of them has forwards entered in, and this server has no problem pinging
out to any domain. It also passes both the simply and recursive dns test.
The second one is a computer that i just promoted to a domain controller and
just installed dns on. It also has the same forwarders configured. It is
unable to ping external sites, and it passes the simply dns test, but fails
the recursive.
(I have a exchange 2003 server, that works fine for external mail delivery
when its dns server is set to the first server not the second)
I also have a 3rd domain controller also running active directory integraded
dns, but it doesn't have any forwarders configured, and it is unable to ping
external sites. It also fails the recursive test.
What would be causing this? One server to pass all tests, and the others to
not? What do i need to do to solve this problem? What info do you need to
help, help me?
THanks
