Just recently I bought a new hard drive which I would like to use as my
primary hard drive. I installed vista on this hard drive and am using my old
hard drive as a slave drive. The problem is that my copy of vista has
already been activated on the old hard drive and I am now unable to activate
on the new one. I know that you can't have vista installed on two systems at
the same time so is there a way I can uninstall vista and will uninstalling
vista on the old hard drive allow me to activate it on the new one? Thanks
beforehand for your help.

You may not be able to activate automatically, over the internet, since you
have already activated that copy of Vista. But you can click the "Use the
automated phone system" in the activation window. You will see an 800 number
to call. Stay on the line until an operator answers and they will take care
of the activation for you.

Use the telephone option to activate the copy. This is an automated service
but, after you have gone through the procedure, if you are still unable to
activate stay on the line and you will be transferred to a 'real' person who
will guide you through activation. The calls are free anyway so all you are
losing is the time you are on the telephone.

The presence of the old drive with Vista is not the cause of the activation
issue. You'll need to phone in activation. That said by the license only
one copy of Vista can be installed. You do need to format the old drive
that has Vista to remove it.
