I downloaded and installed the Vista Beta on June 8thon my spare computer,
thought I went through all of the required activation steps, and then had to
set my spare aside until today. When I booted ot up, I got a boot up screen
asking me if I wanted to boot Windows - an Older version of Windows, or
"Windows Recovery Console" area.
When I booted with windows, I got a pop up titled "Windows Activation" that
says my activation period has expired. It gives me 4 options: Activate on
line - buy a new activation code - retype product key -other.
When I attempt either activate on line or retype product key, get a long
pause then a pop up that says "Error 0x800705B4." and if I cancel it logs me
off.
The boot screen doesn't boot an earlier version of Windows either. so at
this point my computer is pretty much useless.
Can any one out there help me log this thing on, or do I just have to shoot
it and put it out of its misery?
Thank you.
