I think to get the phone number you need to disconnect your internet
connection, attempt to activate over the internet a few times and then the
activation wizard will ask if you want to activate by phone.
 
I don't think the phone center takes Vista activation calls. I think you
have to do it on the internet.
 
Too stupid for a beta OS.

When you help someone like this they will just be back in a few more
days with more stupid question.

Wrong Colin! (the other Colin). All 4 Vista installations I've doen have been
activated using the phone system by following the instructions near the
bottom of the Computer/System Properties page. Colin C

im only a teen, and im listning!!!!!

oh, by the way, ive got a vista RC1 unactivated and not connected to the
internet and i want to activate it, how can i.....
 
Hi,
I've had problems trying to activate Vista RC1 by phonek, the Microsoft
Operator said that my product code was identified on the system as Microsoft
Flight Simulator...when I told them it was Vista RC1 they were unable to
proceed further and asked me to phone the Customer Helpline number...but they
were busy and a voice message told me to call back. So to date I have been
uable to activate the OS....and I predict everytime I will get through to the
Helpline I'll get the same message. Any comments or guidance is very welcome.

This may be the number you are seeing, but there are hundreds of numbers for
activation and each section of a country will have a different number, so
this may not be a number that the OP can use unless he lives near where you
are located.

That might be true Ronnie, but at least she left a number. I dont see anyone
else trying to help.

The point is that when you select to use the activation by telephone in the
Activation Wizard, the telephone number for your area will be displayed in
the wizard.
