HELP!

I installed a new DVD r/w in my computer and got a message that said that I
modified the computer and needed to reactivate the license. I rebooted and
the activation message came up again. When I opened windows, the activation
wiz tried to come up but gave me a corruption message instead. I did some
searching and found that running oobe/msoobe /a will start the wiz. Tried
that, got the same corruption message. Called support, they told me to call
the activation phone line. It requires that the activation window be
open....which is what I cant seem to do. Called back to support and they
have gone home for the weekend. Now living with 2 days till I have to be
activated (or at least that is the message that I am getting). What do I try
next?????
