I built a new PC and installed Vista Ultimate on it today. I am not ready to
go online with it yet, need to do quite a bit of tweaking and moving stuff
from my old PC. How long do I have to activate my OEM edition once I have
installed it? Is there a time limit? Thanks.

You have a thirty (30) day grace period from the time of
installation before activation would become mandatory.
After the grace period ended, Vista would not permit you
to log on without activating.

Replace the "x" with "p" if you wish to visit the above site.

Using the command slmgr -rearm command, up to 120 days.

1) You will have 30 days in which to "shake out" your newly-installed
OS, UNLESS you selected "Automatically activate when online" during
installation, in which case you will only have 3 ("three") days in
which to do it.
2) Folks don't necessarily like to use email to respond to Usenet
posts, since it might involve sending or receiving email addresses in
plain-text. Additionally, Spammers' address harvesters can easily
harvest such email addresses.
