Activation Problems with Upgrade to XP Professional

I upgraded from Windows XP Home Edition to Windows XP Professional Edition. Everything has been working fine, but last night, a screen came up asking me to activate Windows. Unfortunately, the system won't allow me to get back to my desktop so that I can dial my ISP. The only option I'm given is to logoff. I can't get out of this loop. Should I try re-loading the software and trying again? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
Does it not gibe you an option to Activate from the Activation screen?
