Activation problem

I activated vista 5384 before i installed

now the OS is running & It says I need to activate within 14 days
I tried to activate again but It said the product key was in use

What do I do now?

Are you talking about version 5384 or the public beta, which is 5384.4?

Where did you get your product key?
 
yes the public beta

i got it from microsoft

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!
how did you solve this problem?

I also got the key from microsoft, our company is a technet member!
but when I try to activate windows it, just say's that the key is already in
use!!

any ideas ?
 
Reenter the product key in change key and activate again...it will be
solved..i had the same problem

I installed vista again, but this time I activated before I installed and he
did took the key.
I think it should work now :-)

I signed up for the public test and downloaded 5384.4 some 2-3 weeks ago.
When I installed this week I used the product key I got with the email from
Microsoft. Everything worked fine (except for a few driver problems) but now
I'm trying to activate and Vista tells me the key is already in use. I tried
entering the same key again as you suggest but that doesn't work either.

Now I find the Preview program is closed already and I don't know how to get
a valid key. Any suggestions what I should do now? You can also PM me if you
wan to carsten (a t) buddybb.com
 
Did you ask in the microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup
newsgroup? Some activation savvy folks hang out there.
 
I solved problem yesterday by re-registering. I got a key online instantly,
followed by an email very quickly indeed. Email had the key also. Colin
