Hi,

I want to see my office when I am not in my room. How can I activate my
webcam remotely (not using remote desktop connection).

Regards,
Mehrdad

Three ways, all *FREE*, that allow direct IP to IP calling over a SOHO LAN.

"iVisit", MS Portrait and NetMeeting... All work equally well, although "iVisit" allows multiparty
audio and video...

NetMeeting is built-in to XP. You can do direct IP to IP calls over the SOHO LAN. To start the
NetMeeting wizard go to "Start -> Run" and type 'conf', without the quotes, at the command line.

You could make a VPN connection to the office network and connect to the
webcam over that network connection. It's hard to answer this question
without a clearer picture of what's available on the network which has the
webcam attached to it.
