My computer need to be activated but there is not icon on
the system tray. Besides, I tried to use Start/Run but
there was no activation wizard on my computer.
Please help as soon as u can.
How do you know that your Windows needs to be activated? If you are
getting the advisory message about x days left to activate then
clicking on that should take you right into the activation process.
Some versions of Windows XP do not require activation because they are
"BIOS locked" to specific computer brands and models, or because they
were already activated by the computer manufacturer/assembler.
One thing you might try is to repair the registry entries for the
activation .DLL files:
Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll
Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll
Good luck
