Activate Outlook Express Spelling Checker

I have recently started using OE for my mail manager. When I click on the
"Spelling" icon, I receive an error message. I do have Microsoft Word
installed which I understand is one of the requirements. Can anyone tell me
how to activate the checker? I need it badly. Thanks, Ed
