Action Settings

Here's my problem...I have a powerpoint lecture that I
have added a navigation system so that the instructor can
go back a slide easier. I set it up using an action
setting and then selecting "previous slide". The problem
is that many of these lectures have hidden slides that
the instructors need to keep in their lectures. But when
you use the "previous slide" action setting it will show
the hidden slides. This is happening in slideshow view
and I don't think it should happen at all. If slides are
hidden then they should remain hidden. Does anyone know
of a solution or a fix that I could use so that the
hidden slides are not shown when you use that "previous
slide" action setting?

I tried that and if I click that back navigation button
that I set up, that works fine, but if I click it again
it takes me to the one I just was on. So it is a cycle
that it stays in. Does that make sense??

Took me a moment. So...if I'm showing a slide and go
backwards to last slide viewed, it works fine in that the
hidden slide will be skipped. But if I want to back up
more, the action of last slide viewed will actually take
me forward again instead of backward. I don't see a way
around that. Maybe a better solution is to create a
Custom Show under Slide Show/Custom Show and have
different custom shows based on the audience. One of the
MVP's may well have another answer - now for both of us!

To have complete control to have the button go to the
Click to expand...
exact slide that you want in the Actions setting for the
button where it says hyperlink to scroll down and select
slide, it will open up another box listing all of the
slides in your presentation and there you can click on
the slide to go to.
