action cancelled

When trying to access websites - especially ones with
frames - the pages often show up with an "action
cancelled" error message. Also, many of the graphics show
up as boxes with a red "x" in the middle. If I right-
click the box and select "show picture" the graphic
appears. I have upgraded to the latest version of IE6 and
Win 2000 SP 4.

yes i have the same problem have tried everything short of
wiping clean and reinstalling mine is windows 98 and i
used a copy of aol to install just ie6 thought that might
have something to do with it
